Speakers:
Colby Lutz, Systems Analyst, UPMC Western Maryland
After graduating with his Master’s in Computer Science from Frostburg State University, Colby found purpose at Western Maryland Health System helping drive quality care based outcomes using data. He spent the following 12 years developing analytical models, measures, and dashboards using Dimensional Insight products and assisting in process, financial, and patient care improvements. He is driven by finding new and effective ways to provide more information to decision makers and has worked on several white papers with DI. Colby is currently a Software Engineer for UPMC Clinical Analytics providing data insights for the 40 hospital healthcare system on their 10 million annual patient encounters and an analytics consultant with 2 other companies developing new solutions we will discuss today. Outside of work Colby enjoys spending time with his wife and his newborn son, playing ice hockey, and playing board games with his friends.
Nora Lissy, RN, BSN, MBA, VP, Healthcare Consulting, Dimensional Insight
As director of healthcare information for Dimensional Insight, Nora Lissy, RN, BSN, MBA, works with clients on their healthcare BI journey. She works with them from the start of a project, providing guidance on measures, data governance and overall project implementation.
She works side by side with customers through validation and completion as well as providing insight and guidance for future projects. Nora has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare settings with a broad experience in various clinical areas.
Prior to joining Dimensional Insight, Nora spent several years in clinical finance and data analysis, both as a consultant and as a director. She has also worked as a clinician in various areas of healthcare that include general medical/surgical care, pediatric, adult and trauma emergency care, neonatal intensive care, home IV infusions and school nursing.
Nora received her BSN from The Catholic University of America and her MBA from Saint Leo University.
Brandy Buzo , MSN, RN, CPHQ, HACP-CMS, Quality Improvement Coordinator, Ephraim McDowell Health
Brandy has been with Ephraim McDowell Health for 6 years in the quality department and the Quality Improvement Coordinator for the last four of those years. Prior to that she worked as an RN in ICU setting.
Gabrielle Amarosa, Lead Healthcare Business Intelligence Consultant, Dimensional Insight
Gabrielle Amarosa is a Lead Healthcare Business Intelligence Consultant at Dimensional Insight, where she has been part of the Healthcare Applications team since 2019. She is involved with designing, developing, and maintaining a variety of healthcare applications as well as working directly with hospitals and health systems. Outside of her role at Dimensional Insight, Gabrielle contributes to the world of public health through her work with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the New Hampshire Suicide Prevention Council. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she graduated with High Distinction.
